A contemporary villa located in close proximity to the famous Kalido beach of Kaluthara. The five bed roomed villa located amidst a landscaped garden and a pool, the centre piece of the property. It is ideally located for those guest who wish to stay for longer periods in close proximity to the beach with a deluxe setting. A in house cook caretaker will not only make you feel at home but make your stay a memorable one.


The Gedara is comprised of five modern rooms that are set on to the two sides to ensure privacy. All rooms come standard with modern en-suite with hot & cold running water, air conditioning and have room service. Comfortable beds with crispy clean sheets are great to snuggle in the night. A dining area and a lounge with cable TV would be ideal to entertain up to 10 family members or friends. Chill out by the pool or enjoy your meals under the marquees, which can easily accommodate up to 40 people making it the ideal location for a day outing with family and friends. A pool side BBQ is also available on request.


The cook would be glad to cook whatever you might want to have, the choice here is yours to either be on pension basis or bring your own provisions. The food comes without the additives in these parts of Sri Lanka, where the cooks love to show their prowess in whatever they cook rather than get outside help to do it.

In the area  

Kalido Beach: (10 minutes) A great place to enjoy the surf and sand and relax. Kalido beach is not a commercialized as most other beach along the western coast of Sri Lanka. Note public drinking is not encouraged in the beaches and might be considered and offence in some places.

Gangathilake Viharaya: (15 Minutes) A large temple marked by the bell shaped stupa that dominates the skyline, is the centre piece of this bustling city. Built in the 1960's the stupa is unique as the inside is hollow which has the distinction of being the only hollow stupa in the world and one can walk inside to observe the ceremonies taking place. Don't miss to feast your eyes on the 74 mural's that hang inside.

Richmond Castle : (30 Minutes)The rather grandly named old colonial mansion of a bygone era will whisk you back to the long gone colonial era the moment you step inside. Once owned by a nobleman of Kaluthara, the story unfolds like a romantic saga but with a tragic ending.

Aluthgama : (45 Minutes | 03 Locations ) Club inter sports : One of the best places to enjoy all sorts of water sports from jet skies to banana boat rides for the kids. Brief Garden : Developed by Bevis Bawa, the elder brother of famed architect, Geoffrey Bawa, the garden is aesthetically laid out on five acres of land and is noted for its lush vegetation. The wide variety of tropical trees, plants and sculptures that dot the garden is a true representation of all the energies that Bevis put into Brief. A caringly laid tropical garden and the entrance marked by a mural done by a visiting Australian painter friend John Friend. Lunuganga: The Lunuganga estate was the beautifully landscaped country home of the famed Sri Lankan architect, Geoffrey Bawa. Lunuganga, with its rare flora, is a real treat for nature lovers.
