Yala National Park is the most visited and second largest national park in Sri Lanka, bordering the Indian Ocean. The park consists of five blocks, two of which are now open to the public. It is situated in the southeast region of the country, and is approx. 150 km from South Lake Resort, a 3 hrs drive along A2 Southern coastal road. Yala Wild Life Park is home to 215 bird species, the Sri Lankan Elephant, reptiles including crocodiles and has one of the highest leopard concentrations in the world.
